For the years in between, Gilbert visits Woodstock and Greenwich Village, New York, where he investigates Dylans secluded life before his return to the road in 1974. Gilbert recreates the singer-songwriters 1966 motorcycle accident, pays a visit to Big Pink, examines Dylans ?rst encounter with The Beatles, and even confronts fanatic Dylanologist AJ Weberman. Interviews with ?lmmaker D.A. Pennebaker, rock journalism godfather Al Aronowitz, Band drummer Mickey Jones and surprise guests help reveal Bob Dylans hidden history behind Feinsteins astonishing images.

Photographer Barry Feinstein has created many of the entertainment industrys most compelling images. His work has appeared in Life, Look, Time, Esquire, and Newsweek. He has received over thirty U.S. and international art director and photo-journalism awards. He was cameraman on Easy Rider and Monterey Pop, and director of the 1960s cult classic You Are What You Eat.

Director Joel Gilbert also directed the documentary feature Bob Dylan 1966 World Tour, The Home Movies. Gilbert performs as Bob Dylan in Highway 61 Revisited, the worlds only Bob Dylan Tribute Band, and is the author of The Acoustic Bob Dylan, His Music Styles and Guitar Techniques.
